AVERTISSEMENT RELATIF À LA POUSSIÈRE

Le sciage et surtout le sciage À SEC produisent de la poussière qui provient du matériau taillé qui contient fréquemment de la silice. La silice est un élément de base du sable, du quartz, de la terre argileuse, du granit et de nombreux autres minéraux et roches. L’exposition à une quantité excessive d’une telle poussière peut causer :

•des maladies respiratoires (affectant la capacité de respirer), parmi lesquelles la bronchite chronique, la silicose et la fibrose pulmonaire résultant de l’exposition à la silice. Ces maladies peuvent être mortelles.

•Irritation de la peau, rougeurs et

•le cancer selon NTP* et IARC*

* National Toxicology Program (programme national de toxicologie), International Agency for Research on Cancer (Centre international de recherche sur le cancer).

Prendre des mesures de précaution

•Éviter l’inhalation de poussière, vapeurs et émanations ainsi que leur contact avec la peau ;

•Afin de minimiser la production de poussière, scier à l’eau autant que possible ;

•Porter et s’assurer que toutes les personnes présentes portent une protection des voies respiratoires appropriée telle qu’un respirateur antipoussières conçu pour filtrer les particules microscopiques. (Se reporter à la réglementation 29 CFR Part 1910.1200 de l’OSHA).

L’utilisation de ce produit peut provoquer une exposition à des substances reconnues, par l’état de Californie, comme pouvant causer le cancer et/ou des malformations congénitales ou d’autres effets néfastes sur l’appareil reproducteur.
