STATUS A status page has been requested via the Print Status
option in the Administration/Special Pages menu . This
does not necessarily mean that the status page is
printing at the particular moment the message is
displayed since other jobs may be ahead of it in t he job

TEST A sample page or a registration page has been
requested. This does not necessarily mean that the page
is printing as the message is being displayed (ot her jobs
may be ahead of it in the job queue).

REPLACE
BELT The OPC belt cartridge needs to be replaced. After
installing the new cartridge, you have to clear this
message through the control panel using the Clear
Warning option. (See chapter 6, “Consumables and
Preventative Maintenan ce,” fo r detail s on re placing the
OPC belt cartridge and “Administration/Engine” in
chapter 4 for details on clearing the warning.)
SIDE PANEL
OPEN The waste toner cover is not fully closed. Close the
cover.
TOP COVER
OPEN The top cover of the printer is either off or partially
open. Make sure it is seated properly and fully closed.
x TONER
EMPTY A toner cartridge is empty. The x is replaced by the
color of the toner cartridge that needs to be replaced.

Maintenance,” for information on replacing a toner
cartridge.)
