Charging your player’s battery

Note

Make sure that you charge the battery pack at least eight hours before using it the first time.

Recharging the battery takes approximately five hours. A fully-charged battery can power your player for at least two and one-half hours.

If you do not intend to use the battery pack for an extended length of time, fully charge the battery pack, then remove it and store it in a non-metal, airtight container with a dehumidifying agent.

If you store the battery pack, recharge it every two months to keep it in optimum condition.

To charge your player’s battery:

1Turn off your player.

2Plug one end of the AC to DC power adapter into the DC jack on the side of your player. You cannot use the cigarette lighter adapter to charge the battery.

3Plug the other end of the adapter into an AC outlet. The battery charge indicator lights red. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator turns off. You can unplug the adapter if you want.

Caution

Use the AC to DC adapter that came with your player to recharge the battery pack.Do not use the cigarette lighter adapter.

As soon as the battery pack is fully discharged, recharge it to keep it in optimum condition.

Do not short the battery pack terminals.

Do not store the battery pack in a metal container.

Do not leave the battery pack in a humid or damp environment.
