 WARNING
Batteries with terminal configuration as shown below MUST be used. Batteries that
have the reverse terminal configuration MUST NOT be used - otherwise injury and
damage may occur.
NOTE:Recommendedbatterytypeisspillproofandrequiresnomaintenanceexceptrouti ne
charging.
NOTE:Chargebatteriesdaily.DONOTallowbatteriestocompletelydischarge.Tocharge
batteries,refertoChargingBatteriesonpage 63.
NOTE:Invacarerecommendsthatbothbatteriesberepl acedifonebatteryisdefective.
Removing/Installing the Batteries
NOTE:Forthisprocedure,refertoFIGURE 13.1onpage60.
 WARNING
Install protective caps on POSITIVE (+) and NEGATIVE (-) terminals.
All battery terminal covers (two on the right battery and two on the left battery)
MUST be installed prior to use.
Removing
1. Disconnectthejoystick.RefertoDisconnecting/ConnectingtheJoystickonpage 56.
2. Removetheseat.RefertoRemoving/InstallingtheSeatAssemblyonpage 37.
3. Removethetopshroud.RefertoRemoving/InstallingtheTopShroudonpage 49.
4. Disconnecttherightbatteryfromthecontroller(BLACKconnector).
