6.Disconnect the FRONT battery from the REAR battery. Refer to CONNECTING/DIS- CONNECTING BATTERY CABLES in this procedure of the manual.

7.Remove both batteries with cables from the rear frame assembly.

NOTE: To disconnect the battery cables, reverse the following steps.

The POSITIVE (+)RED battery cable MUST con- nect to the battery clamp of the POSITIVE

(+)battery terminal/post, otherwise serious damage will occur to the electrical system.

1.Install the RED battery terminal cap onto the RED battery cable.

2.Install the BLACK battery terminal cap onto the BLACK battery cable.

3.Connect battery cable(s) to battery(ies) terminal(s)/post(s) as follows:

A.NEGATIVE (-) BLACK battery cable to NEGATIVE (-) battery terminal/post on the REAR battery.

B.POSITIVE (+) RED battery cable to POSI- TIVE (+) battery terminal/post on the FRONT battery.

4.Secure the battery cable(s)/ring terminal(s) to the battery terminal(s)/post(s), BLACK to NEGATIVE (-) and RED to POSITIVE (+), with the provided hex flange screw and hex flange locknut. Securely tighten.

5.Verify all battery cable(s)/ring terminal(s) are cor- rectly installed and securely tightened.

6.Slide terminal cap(s) down battery cable(s) and onto battery terminals (DETAIL "A").
