Windows XP Fresh Installation
1. Power off the system. Insert the controller card into a PCI slot and connect the hard drives to the
controller card. Power up the system.
2. Put your Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM/DVD drive.
3. Press F6 for third party SCSI or driver installation. Press ‘S’ when setup asks if you want to specify
an additional device. Press ‘Enter’ and select ‘[CD Drive Letter]:\RAID5 SATA_4Port \SiI3114\
Win XP_2000_2003\Driver’.
4. Press ‘Enter’ to continue.
5. Follow the setup instructions to select your choice for partitions and the fi le system.
6. After setup examines your disks, it will copy fi les to the Windows installation folders and restart the
system. The setup program will continue and fi nish the installation after restart.
7. Wait until Windows fi nishes installing devices, regional settings, networking settings, and compo-
nents. Reboot the system if it is stated as a requirement.
