When you are viewing a bilingual broadcast programme, you can choose the sound from Bilingual I (Sub I) or Bilingual II (Sub II). If you have poor reception on a stereo broadcast, you can change from stereo to mono sound so that you can hear the broadcast more clearly and easily.

The menu disappears.
∙The sound mode you can choose differs depending on the TV programme.
∙This function does not work in the EXT modes. And this function does not appear in the SOUND SETTING menu.

You can turn off the sound from the TV speakers; but you should only do this if you have connected an audio system to the TV instead of the TV speakers. When you are using this function, see “Turning the TV’s speakers off” on page 31.
When there is no sound from the TV speaker:
If the SPEAKER function is set to OFF, there is no sound from the TV speaker. Press the ë buttons to choose SPEAKER. Then press ì buttons to choose ON.

You can use the BBE function to enjoy
1Press the ë buttons to choose BBE.
2Press the ì buttons to choose ON.
To cancel the BBE function:
Press ì buttons to choose OFF.
3Press the 3button to complete the setting.
