Picture quality

The Picture Quality mode can be selected to best
match your needs. Two Picture Quality modes are
available: FINE ( ) and STANDARD ( ) (in order
of quality).

NOTE:
The number of storable images depends on the
selected picture quality as well as the composition
of the subjects in the images and the type of memory

Image size

The Image Size mode can be selected to best match
your needs.

640x 480 /1280 x 960
NOTES:
●The settings can be changed only when the
Recording Mode Switch is set to “MEMORY”.
●To shoot still images in 848x 480 pixels, set “REC
SELECT” to " / " (墌“Recording media
selection”) and set the Recording Mode Switch to
“HI-RES” or “PS50” with aspect ratio of 16:9.

REC SELECT (Factory-preset: )
: When Snapshot recording is performed with
the Recording Mode Switch set to “HI-RES”,
“PS50” or “DV”, still images are recorded only
onto the tape.
/ : When Snapshot recording is
performed with the Recording Mode Switch set to
“HI-RES”, “PS50” or “DV”, still images are
recorded not only onto the tape but also in the
memory card (848x 480 pixels in HI-RES mode,
848x 480 pixels in PS50 mode (16:9), 640 x 480
pixels in PS50 mode (4:3), 640x 480 pixels in DV
mode).
