Troubleshooting

SYMPTOM

POWER

1.No power is applied to the VCR.

2.The clock is functioning properly, but the VCR cannot be powered.

3.The Remote Control won’t function.

The mains power cord is disconnected.

If you’re using only the RF cable for connection…

…the TV’s channel selector is not set to the Video Channel. …the VCR’s Video Channel has not been correctly set.

If you’re using both the RF cable and 21-pin SCART cable for connection, the TV is not set to the AV mode.

This is normal.

The automatic tracking mode is engaged.

The video heads may be dirty.

If you are using only the RF cable for connection…

If you are using both the RF cable and 21-pin SCART cable for connection, set the TV to its AV mode.

Use a dry cleaning cassette JVC TCL-2 or consult your JVC dealer.
