OPERATIONS ON DVD DECK (cont.)

Time Search

You can play back a disc from the desired point by specifying the
elapsed time from the beginning of the current title (for DVD
VIDEO) or the disc (for Audio CD/Video CD) using the Time
Search.
AAccess the Play Set Up menu.
Press REPEAT during playback.
BSelect the mode.
CEnter the time.
To clear the Play Set Up menu, press REPEAT.
NOTES:
When “X” is displayed on the TV screen in step C, you have
selected a point that excesses the recording time of the disc.
Some DVD VIDEO discs do not contain time information, and
it is no possible to use the Time Search function. In such a
case, “X” is displayed on the TV screen as well.
Time Search does not work while you play back the Video CD
with the PBC Function. (pg. 37, right column)

Playback Control (PBC) Function

You can reactivate the PBC function when you play back a PBC-
compatible Video CD disc without PBC function.
AAccess the Play Set Up menu.
Press REPEAT during playback.
BSelect the mode.
Press we
to move the arrow to “PBC CALL”, then press
OK.
Press we
to move the arrow
to “TIME SEARCH”, then
press OK.
Press the appropriate number
keys to enter the desired
time, then press OK.
The DVD deck starts playback
from the selected point.
Examples: To play back from 1(H):30(M):00(S):
Press the number key “1”, “3”, “0”, “0”, “0” then press OK.
