EDITING
You can use your unit as the source player or as the recording
deck.
NOTE:
When using another recorder as the recording deck, refer to its
instruction manual.
1Make connections.
When using this unit as the recording deck
AIf the another recorder has no S-VIDEO connector, connect the
unit’s [AUDIO/VIDEO INPUT] connectors to the audio/video output
connectors on another recorder.
BIf the another recorder has S-VIDEO connector, connect the
[AUDIO INPUT] and [S VIDEO INPUT] connectors to the audio
and S-video output connectors on another recorder.
●If connecting a unit with an S-VIDEO connector, it is recommended to
use the supplied S-Video cable to minimize picture degradation while
editing.
2Press VCR/DVD repeatedly to select the recording deck.
3Press CH +/– to select “L-1” when using this unit as the
recording deck.
●Set “REAR AUX L-1” to “VIDEO” for the VIDEO input connector, or
“S-VIDEO” for the S-VIDEO input connector, depending on the
connector being used. (墌pg. 70) This setting is also applied to the
VCR deck.
4For VCR deck only
Set “PICTURE CONTROL” to the appropriate mode. (墌pg.72)
5Press REC MODE repeatedly to set the recording mode.
6Engage the Play mode of the source player.
7Engage the Record mode of the recording deck.
8Stop recording on the recording deck, then stop playback on the
source player.
NOTES:
●All necessary cables can be obtained from your dealer.
●When you use this unit as the source player for editing, be sure to set
“SUPERIMPOSE” to “OFF” before starting. (墌pg.70)
●When you select “EDIT” to dub tapes in step4, be sure to select
“AUTO” (or “NORM” when “VIDEO CALIBRATION” is set to “OFF”)
after you finish dubbing the tapes.
