Using two sets of SR-V10U, you can play back two cassettes alternately as many times as you want. You can select the returning point for Series Playback (pg. 41)

Use the buttons and controls on the VCR’s front panel for the Series Playback operations (except when using Mode Lock).

1 Make connections

Connect two sets of SR-V10U and a TV using AV cables as shown in the illustration on page 22.

The mini-plug cable is a mono 3.5 mm mini- plug to mono 3.5 mm mini-plug connector.

When playing back S-VHS recordings, it is recommended to use the S-VIDEO connection to minimize picture degradation.

2 Turn on all components

After completing the connections, turn on all the components.

Set the TV to video input mode or A/V input mode. Refer to the TV instruction manual.

3 Load cassettes

Insert the playback cassette into each SR-V10U.

Set SR-V10U-2 to “AUX”. Press CH + or to select the input mode depending on the connector being used -”L-1” for the rear AUDIO/VIDEO IN connector, or “F-1” for the front AUDIO/VIDEO input connector.

4 Start playback

Press PLAY ( 3 ) on either of SR-V10U. When the playback reaches to the returning point (tape end or recording end pg. 41), the other SR-V10U successively starts to play. (The cassette will automatically be rewound when the playback stops.) Therefore, the cassettes loaded on two SR- V10U will be played back alternately as many times as you want.

To stop playback

NOTE:

If there is a power outage during Series Playback, the playback will resume automatically when the power is restored to the VCR. (No setting is required for this function.)

To prohibit operations during Series Playback (Mode Lock)

Press and hold OK on the Remote for more than 5 seconds. "" and "" light up on the front display panel (pg. 60). The 2 cassettes will be played back alternately without any interruption.

To resume the other operations, press and hold OK on the Remote again for more than 5 seconds.

When OK is pressed to set Mode Lock, the on-screen display appears and the time counter remains on the TV screen. If the time counter is not necessary, set "ON SCREEN (PLAY)" to "OFF" ( pg. 37, 39).

Press STOP/EJECT ( 7 / 0 ) on the SR-V10U which is playing back a cassette.
