Basic Operations

Selecting an item from a menu

With some DVD and video CD discs, a menu may appear during playback.

Example of menu

To select an item in the menu:

UP

LEFT RIGHT

1.Select a desired item using / / / , then press ENTER/SELECT. The XV-1000BK starts playback of the selected item.

DOWN

With some discs, you can select the item by entering the corresponding number using the numeric keys, causing the XV-1000BK to automatically start playback. You cannot use / / / with video CDs.

*If you can see “NEXT” or “PREVIOUS,” or equivalents in the menu, pressing 4 or ¢ usually turns the menu pages.

*Pressing “RETURN” returns to the previous menu.

The operation procedure may be different depending on discs. Read the manual for the discs and follow the procedure indicated in the menu.
