!Safety information applicable to maintenance tasks

Maintenance tasks

Before you begin any maintenance tasks, please read the enclosed leaflet Safety Information No. 5.956-250.

Caution! Make sure engine cannot be started uninten- tionally.

In order to prevent the engine from being started unintentio- nally, proceed as follows after you have parked the sweeper.

nPull out the ignition key.

nDisconnect the battery at the negative terminal.

The necessary maintenance tasks or daily inspections can be carried out with the bonnet raised.

Risk of injury!

Only raise the unit cover after the engine has been switched

off and the parking brake Risk of injury! has been applied.

Burns hazard!

Take care not to touch the exhaust when you open the bonnet.

Injury hazard!

çIf you need to work under the waste container while it is in the raised position, you must first of all secure the container to prevent it from dropping down unintentional- ly:

Opening/closing the unit cover

nTip the seat forwards.

nTake hold of the unit cover by the recessed grip and open it by pulling upwards.

Disconnecting the battery

nOpen the unit cover.

nFirst of all disconnect the cable from the negative termi- nal (–), then disconnect the positive terminal (+).

Note:

When reconnecting the battery, proceed in reverse order – connect the positive terminal (+) first of all, then the negati- ve terminal (–).
