After fill, timer/switch action allows the motor to tum the rotor and disc into
BRINING pos_on. Water flow isdirected to the nozzle. Suction, created by_e
nozzle and venturi, draws brine fromthe salt storage tank and injects it intothe
resin bed via the bottom distributor. Flow continuesout thetop distributorand to
the drain. Hard water is available atthe valveoutlet.
When the brine valve closes to end brine draw, water flow continues inthe same
directions to slowly RINSE brine from the resin bed andto the drain.

BACKWASH (and "CLEAN") CYCLE
"rimer/switchaction againallows the motor to turn the
rotor & disc to place the valve in BACKWASH,
stopping water flow to the nozzle. Water is muted
down and out the bottom distributor, up through the
bed, and out thetop distributor to thedrain. The fast
flow (controlled by a flow plug in the drain fitting)
flushesdirt, sediments,iron deposits, remaining brine
and hardness tothe drain.
