Chapter 4: OSD Operation

The operations described in this chapter allows the user to perform operations and settings by referring to the OSD (On-Screen Display). As the OSD operation uses only the specific buttons on the joystick remote, the user can enjoy the functions of the player even before memorizing the functions of all buttons. This chapter is composed of the following sections.

¶If the on-screen message or OSD is displayed outside the TV screen when using a widescreen TV or similar monitoring device, set the "OSD Position" setting to "Cinema".

¶The OSD cannot be displayed when DVD is played by menu playback. It may also be unavailable with certain discs.

¶The "SOUND" OSD and "VISUAL" OSD can be displayed only in a play mode.
