The remote control sends an RF (radio wave) signal to the receiver. For equipment other than the receiver, an IR (Infrared) signal is sent.
The remote control supplied with this receiver is also capable of controlling components from a variety of manufacturers once you register the appropriate setup codes into the remote control unit.

Use these keys to select the input you want to register.
6AV POWER key
Once you have entered the setup code for another component, you can press this key to turn power to that component on or off. This lets you confirm that you entered the code properly.
The display goes off automatically when you do not operate for more than 8 seconds. In this case, press the display operation 1 key, display operation 2 key, or 5/∞ keys.
When you are confused about what’s being displayedPress the display operation 1 key repeatedly until “Menu” appears in the display.
The display returns to the initial display.
