3.Gently slide sear burner completely into outdoor enclosure.

1.Lift off cover and grate and set aside.

2.Remove packing from around burners.
3.Reinstall grate.

The burners are tested and
Checking and adjusting the burner flames requires removing the grate.
If flame goes out on the LO setting, the low flame setting must be adjusted.
1.Light the burner and turn control knob to its lowest setting and remove knob.
2.Hold the valve stem with pliers and insert a thin flat blade screwdriver into the shaft.
3.Watch the flame and slowly turn screwdriver counterclockwise.
4.Adjust flame to the minimum stable flame.

5.Replace control knob and turn off the burner.
6.Reassemble grate.
OUTDOOR SEAR BURNER
USE

WARNING
Food Poisoning Hazard
Do not let food sit for more than one hour before or after cooking.
Doing so can result in food poisoning or sickness.
1.Remove the outdoor sear burner cover.
2.Make sure control knobs are turned to OFF.
3.Turn the gas supply on:
Natural gas or LP gas from a local supply
■Using gas supply source other than 20 lb LP gas fuel tank:
Turn the shutoff valve to open position from the front of gas supply line.
20 lb LP gas fuel tank, if converted

■Using a 20 lb LP gas fuel tank: Slowly open the tank valve.
NOTE: If flow limiting device activates, your grill may not light. If your grill does light, the flames will be low and will not heat properly. Turn tank valve and all control knobs off and wait
30 seconds. After shutting off the tank, very slowly open tank valve and wait 5 seconds before lighting.
