Is there proper air circulation between foods? Space food evenly across the grill grates.

Are foods taking too long to cook?

Partially frozen or very cold foods will increase cooking time. Thoroughly defrost foods.

Oven will not operate

Is the electronic oven control set correctly? See “Electronic Oven Control” section.

Cooling fan runs during baking, broiling or cleaning

It is normal for the fan to automatically run while the oven is in use to cool the electronic control, and may run for up to

45 minutes after oven has been turned off.

Display shows messages

Is the display showing “PF,” “PF id=27” or “PF id=30”? There has been a power failure. Clear the display. See “First Use/Power Interruption” section. On some models, reset the clock if needed. See “Clock” section.

Is the display showing a letter followed by a number? Clear the display. See “First Use/Power Interruption” section. If the display reappears, call for service.

Self-Cleaning Cycle will not operate

Is the oven door open?

Close the oven door all the way.

On some models, has a delay start Self-Clean cycle been set?

Has a delay start been set? See “Timed Cooking” section.

On double oven models, one of the two ovens will not operate?

If one of the ovens are in a self-cleaning cycle, the second oven cannot be set to a clean function until the first oven has finished cleaning and has cooled.

Is the proper temperature set?

Increase or decrease temperature 25°F (14°C).

Was the oven preheated?

Wait for oven to preheat before placing food in oven.

Are the racks positioned properly?

Is there proper air circulation around bakeware? See “Positioning Racks and Bakeware” section.

Is the batter evenly distributed in the pan? Make sure batter is level in the pan.

Is the proper length of time being used? Increase or decrease baking or roasting time.

Has the oven door been opened while cooking?

Oven peeking releases oven heat and can result in longer cooking times.

Are baked items too brown on the bottom? Decrease oven temperature 15° F to 25°F (9°C to 14°C).

Are pie crust edges browning early?

Use aluminum foil to cover the edge of the crust and/or reduce baking temperature.
