Cleaning the Printer

To help ensure good performance and high-quality output, make sure the operating environment is clean and dust free.

Clean the printer regularly as described below. Before you begin, turn off the printer and unplug it.

CAUTION:

Never use abrasives or harsh chemicals to clean any part of the printer. Do not use alcohol cleaning pads to clean the cabinet.

•Wipe the covers, the paper tray area, and the paper tray with a lint-free cloth moistened with water. This eliminates dust build-up and prevents dirt from getting into the printer.

•Clean the area around and under the printer to prevent dirt from getting into the printer.
