■Move so that the distance between you and the subject is within the
effective flash range (see page54).
■Use Fill flash (page8) or change your pos ition so light is not behind
the subject.
■Increase Exposure Compensation (see page35).
Camera does not
recognize SD card.
■Purchase a certified SD/SDHC card.
■Reformat the card (see page34).
Caution: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and videos,
including protected files.
■Insert a card into the slot, then push to seat (see page4).
Camera freezes up
when a card is
inserted or
removed.
■Turn the camera off, then back on.
■Make sure the camera is turned off before inserting or removing a
card.
■Try another SD/SDHC card.
Memory card full. ■Insert a new card (see page 4), transfer pictures to the computer ( see
page37), or delete pict ures (see page 17).
Memory card and
internal memory
full.
■Transfer pictures to the computer (see page 37), then format the card
or internal memory (see page 34).
