If... Try one or more of the following
The computer does
not communicate
with the camera.
Turn on the camera (see page 3).
Make sure the battery is fully charged (see page2).
Connect the USB cable to camera and computer port (see page 37 ).
Install the software (see page36).
Disconnect the USB cable. Close all software applications. Re-install
the software (see page 36).
Disconnect camera from the computer. Close all software applications,
reconnect camera.
Cannot transfer
pictures.
(The Add New
Hardware Wizard
cannot locate
drivers.)
Disconnect the USB cable. (If using camera dock or printer d ock,
disconnect cable and remove camera from dock). Close all open
applications. Re-install the software (see page36).
Disconnect the USB cable. Close all software applications. Re-install
the software (see page 36).
Reboot the computer.

Slide show stops or
does n ot r un o n an
external video
device.
Adjust the camera Video Out setting NTSC or PAL (see page 33).
Make sure the external device settings are correct. (See the device’s
user’s guide.)
