Flash does not fire ■Check the flash setting, and change as needed (see page17).
NOTE: The flash does not fire in all modes.Memory card is almost
or entirely full
■Transfer the pictures to the computer (see page48).
■Delete pictures from the card (see page26) or insert a new card.
The Reset Camera
feature did not take
effect.
■After using the Reset Camera feature (see page46), turn the
camera off and then on again.
Battery life is short ■Make sure the correct battery type is installed (see page60).
■Charge the battery (see page2).
■Use a power-saving LCD Brightness setting (see page46).
Shutter button does
not work.
■Turn o n th e ca mera (see page 5).
■Transfer pictures to the computer (see page48), delete pictures
from the camera (see page26), or insert a card with available
memory (see page7).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card
■Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera (see
page47).
Caution: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and
videos, including protected files.
■Use another memory card. Only MICROSD/SDHC Cards are
supported.
Pictures on card (or in
internal memory) are
corrupted
■Retake pictures.
■Do not remove card while the camera is on.
■Keep the rechargeable battery charged.
■Transfer pictures to the computer (see page48), then format the
card or internal memory (see page47).
