Scene modes

1Turn the Mode dial to Scene .

2Move the Joystick to display Scene mode descriptions. NOTE: If the Help text turns off, press the OK button.

3Press the OK button to choose a Scene mode.

Use this SCN mode

Portrait

Full-frame portraits of people. Use Telephoto to reduce focus of

 

 

distracting background.

 

 

 

 

Self-

Close-ups of yourself. Assures proper focus and minimizes red eye.

 

Portrait

 

 

 

 

 

Sport

Subjects that are in motion. Shutter speed is fast.

 

 

 

 

Landscape

Distant subjects. Flash does not fire unless you turn it on. Auto-focus

 

 

framing marks (page 7) are not available in Landscape.

 

 

 

 

Night

Distant scenery at night. Flash does not fire. Place the camera on a flat,

 

Landscape

steady surface or use a tripod.

 

 

 

 

Night

Reduces red eye of people in night scenes or low-light conditions.

 

Portrait

Place the camera on a flat, steady surface or use a tripod.

 

 

 

 

Sunset

Preserves the deep hues seen in sunsets.

 

 

 

 

Backlight

Subjects that are in shadow or “backlit” (when light is behind the

Candle light
