AUTO POWER OFF (PC MODE)

If the camera does not receive a read or write command within thirty minutes, it will shut down to save power. When the camera shuts down, an unsafe-removal-of-device warning may appear on the computer monitor. Click “OK.” Neither the camera or computer will be damaged in this operation.

To reconnect the camera to the computer is simple. Turn off the camera with the mode dial. Remake the USB connection by turning the mode dial back to the playback or recording position.

DISCONNECTING THE CAMERA FROM THE COMPUTER

Never disconnect the

camera when the access lamp is lit – the data or memory card may permanently be damaged.

MACINTOSH

Confirm that the access lamp is not lit and then drag the mass-storage device icon and drop it into the trash.

Disconnect the USB cable.

•If the USB cable is disconnected before performing the first step, an alert message will appear. Always complete the first step before disconnecting the USB cable.

WINDOWS 98 AND 98SE

Confirm that the access lamp is not lit. Turn the camera off and then disconnect the USB cable.
