Front Panel and Remote Control Operation

The KAV-300cdremote control provides completeCDtransport functions as well as Krell preamplifier and power amplifier remotefunctions. A description of the keys andtheir functionsis providedbelow.

Note

Not all keyson the remotecontrol function with the KAV-3OOcdPress. the CDkey on the remote to access CDcommands.

13Open

Pressonceto openthe drawer.Insert a CD, label side up, into the drawer. Pressopen again. After a momentarypause(while the CD'scontentsare being scanned),the total numberof tracks andthe total playing time appearin the display window(1).

14 Play

To activate playbackfrom the beginningof the CD,press play after inserting the CD into the drawer. Thedrawerwill close and playbackwill beginfromthe first track. If the CDis loaded and the disc contents have beenscanned,press play on the front panel

(5) or remotecontrol. Thedisc will start play- ing from track 1 or the beginningof a pro-

grammedtrack sequence. Whenan HDCD

encodedCDis played, the HDCDLED(3)

illuminates, indicating that HDCDdecoding is functioning.

15 Stop ....

TerminatesCDplayback.

16 I~: Track Back

Press onceto select andbegin playing the track that precedesthe current track.

17 H: Track Forward

Press onceto select andbegin playing the trackthat followsthe currenttrack.

19 ~ Search Forward

Pressandhold this keyto scroll forward throughthe current track.

20 Pause

Press onceto temporarily suspendplaying the current track. To resumeplaying the track at the point pause was engaged, press pauseagain or press play.

21 Rep(Repeat)(remotecontrol only) Pressonceto repeatthe entire disc or track programcontinuously.Presstwice to repeat the currenttrack continuouslyPress.againto cancel this function. Whenselecting the desiredrepeatfunction, pressthe repeatkey onceandREPEATwill appearin the display window(1). Press repeat twice andREPEAT andSINGLEwill appearin the display win- dow.

22 AJB(remotecontrol only)

Usethis key to create a loop betweentwo pre-determinedpoints within a single track or sequential tracks. Tocreate an NBloop, start play of a track. Whenyouhearthe part that youwantas the beginningof the loop, pressA/Bto insert the start position. Press A/Bagainto insert the finish position. NB will automaticallybeginandcontinueindef- initely. Todelete the A/Bprogram,pressA/B againor pressthe stop key (15).

23 Direct NumberAccessKeypad

(remotecontrol only)

The direct number access keypad makes track selection quick andeasy. Whenusing

the direct track accessfunction, the selected track will beginplay immediatelyafter it is

selected. If the track you wantto play is numbered1-9, press the key that corre- spondsto the track. Use the +10 key to
