Connecting Your Device to Your Computer
Before using your device’s mass storage capabilities,
you need to prepare your device’s data services to
synchronize with your desktop or laptop computer.
Once you have connected the device to the computer,
you can transfer your data to or from the microSD card.
1. Connect your device to your computer using the
included micro-USB cable. (Wait for the connection
to be completed. If a dialog box is displayed, click
Cancel to proceed.)
2. The USB icon ( ) now appears on th e left side of
the status bar on your device.
3. Drag the status bar down to open the Notifications
panel and tap USB connected.
4. Tap Turn on USB storage > OK to copy files between
your computer and your device’s microSD card.
5. Locate the newly created drive letter on your
computer. You can now begin to use the microSD
card as a storage device.
To remove the connection:
1. When you have finished transferring data, click the
USB device icon on your computer’s taskbar, and
follow the onscreen instructions to safely unplug
the micro-USB cable.
2. Open the Notifications panel on your device and
tap Turn off USB storage > Turn off USB storage. You
can now unplug the micro-USB cable from the
device.

Creating Folders on the microSD Card

1. On your laptop or desktop computer, click
Start > My Computer > [drive letter].
2. Right click and select New > Folder.
3. Enter a name for the new folder.
Important: The formatting procedure erases all the data on the
microSD card, after which the files CANNOT be
retrieved. To prevent the loss of important data, please
check the contents before you format the card.
Note: The process may vary depending on the operating
system being used.
