Unlocking Your Device Screen
1. Press to wake up the screen.
2. Flick the Unlock icon in any direction.
䡲If you’ve locked yo ur screen, you mus t draw an
unlock pattern or enter a PIN or password to
unlock it.
Calling in Lock Mode
Even if the screen is locked, you will still be able to
place emergency calls.
䊳To call an emergency number, tap the
Emergency call button and enter the phone
number, and then tap .
Configuring the Screen Lock Settings
After an unlock pattern, PIN, or password is created,
additional options are available in the Location &
security menu.
To hide the unlock drawing pattern:
1. Press Home > Menu > Settings >
Location & security.
2. Clear the Use visible pattern check box.
䡲Clearing this option prevents the unlock pattern
from displaying on the unlock screen.
To vibrate the screen when you draw the pattern:
1. Press Home > Menu > Settings >
Location & security.
2. Tap th e Use tactile feedback check box to enable
this feature.
To hid e pa ss wor ds as you type them:
1. Press Home > Menu > Settings >
Location & security.
2. Clear the Visible passwords check box.
To change the screen lock pattern, PIN, or password:
1. Press Home > Menu > Settings >
Location & security > Change screen lock.
2. Draw the current unlock pattern or enter the
current PIN or password. Tap Continue if required.
3. Tap Pattern, PIN, or Password and create a new
unlock code. (Tap None to disable this feature. )
