Hard Disk Passwords
Two types of the hard disk passwords help protect the information stored on the hard disk:
Hard disk user password
Hard disk master password, which requires a hard disk user password
When you have set Master password and user password as the Hard Disk password, you must enter either of the passwords to access to the Hard Disk.
To Set a Hard Disk Password:
1Turn on your computer. Press F2, while the initial screen is displayed. The InsydeH2O Setup Utility screen opens.
2Select Security, using the cursor directional keys.
3Select Set Hard Disk User Password, and press the Enter key. “Set Hard Disk User Password” box opens.
4Choose your HDD User Password, which can be from two to eight alphanumeric characters in any combination. Type it in the Enter New Password field.
5Press the Enter key once to move to the Confirm New Password field. Retype the password you just entered to verify it.
6Select Set Hard Disk Master Password, and press the Enter key. “Set Hard Disk Master Password” box opens.
