AfterreplacingtheFRUs,youneedtoreinstallanyremovedparts,reconnectandrouteanyinternalcables,
reinstallthecomputercover,andreconnectanyexternalcables,suchaspowercords.Dependingonthe
FRUsreplaced,youmightneedtoconrmtheupdatedinformationintheSetupUtilityprogram,seeChapter
6“UsingtheSetupUtilityprogram”onpage39.
Note:Whenthepowercordisrstpluggedin,thecomputermightappeartoturnonforafewsecondsand
thenturnoff.Thisisanormalsequencetoenablethecomputertoinitialize.
Toreinstallthecomputercoverandreconnectcablestoyourcomputer:
1.Ensurethatallcomponentshavebeenreassembledcorrectlyandthatnotoolsorloosescrewsare
leftinsideyourcomputer.See“Locatingcomponents”onpage69forthelocationofthevarious
components.
2.Reconnectanyinternalcables.
3.Positionthecomputercoveronthechassissothattherailguidesonthebottomofthecomputercover
engagetherails.Then,pushthecomputercovercloseduntilitsnapsintoposition.
