Apasswordcanbeanycombinationofupto16(1to16)alphabeticandnumericcharacters.Forsecurity
reasons,itisrecommendedtouseastrongpasswordthatcannotbeeasilycompromised.Tosetastrong
password,usethefollowingguidelines:

isdisplayedeachtimeyouturnonthecomputer.Youcannotusethecomputeruntilavalidpasswordis

Administratorpassword
TheSetAdministratorP asswordoptionenablesyoutosetanadministratorpassword,whichdeters
unauthorizedusersfromchangingcongurationsettings.Ifyouareresponsibleformaintainingthesettings
ofseveralcomputers,youmightwanttosetanadministratorpassword.Formoreinformationonhowtoset

Afteryouhavesetanadministratorpassword,apasswordpromptisdisplayedeachtimeyoutrytoaccess
theSetupUtilityprogram.YoucannotaccesstheSetupUtilityprogramuntilavalidpasswordistypedin.
Ifyouhavesetbothpower-onpasswordandadministratorpassword,youcantypeeitherpasswordtouse
yourcomputer.However,tochangeanycongurationsettings,youmustuseyouradministratorpassword.
