Palm Check

To prevent mis-touch, the touch pad ignores big active area motions, like any movement at the touchpad with your palm, you may set the area size by clicking Synaptics Pointing Device icon in the system tray in the lower right corner of the desktop.

You can also change other gesture settings (e.g., enable/disable ChiralMotion) by clicking the Synaptics Pointing Device icon.
