Removing optional memory cards

Complete the following steps to remove optional printer memory or flash memory cards.

WARNING:Optional memory cards are easily damaged by static electricity. Touch something

metal on the printer before you touch an optional memory card.

1Remove the shield. See Accessing the system board.

2Locate the optional memory card you want to remove.

3Push the connector latches on both ends of the memory connector away from the memor y

card.

4Pull the memory card straight out of the memory connecto r.

5Place the memory card in its original packaging, or wrap it in paper a nd store it in a box.

6Reinstall the shield. See Reinstalling the shield.

Reinstalling the shield

1Align the six keyholes with six screws on the shield.
