SETTING THE POWER LEVEL SETTING THE CONTROLS

SETTING THE POWER LEVEL

The power level for the selected Cooking Zone can be set from To adjust the power level: to To turn off the cooking zone: and Manual background (Boost).

To adjust the power level:

1Touch the Manual background or Manual background pad for the selected Cooking Zone.

Touching Manual background will set the power level to Manual background. Touching Manual background will set the power level to Manual background.

Touch the Manual background or Manual background pad of the selected Cooking Zone to increase or decrease the power level.

If power level Manual background is selected, the Cooking Zone will turn off after 5 seconds.

2For faster power level adjustments, touch and hold the Manual background or Manual background pads until the desired setting is reached.

NOTE: Normal power

settings range in 1/2 step increments for power levels from 2 to 6 to allow precision cooking. A dot will appear next to the number to indicate a 1/2 power level step.

3If the Cooking Zone Manual background or Manual background pads are held for more 10 seconds, the timer display will show the error message Manual background. To clear this error message, press the ON/OFF pad for the Cooking Zone you were setting. This message does NOT relate to the timer pad.

To turn off the cooking zone:

1Once cooking is complete, touch the ON/OFF pad to turn the cooking zone OFF.

2The corresponding cooking zone display witll turn off.

3If the POWER pad is touched instead of ON/OFF, the entire cooktop will turn off.

NOTE:

If the cookware or pan is moved from the center of any active Cooking Zone for any reason, a sensor will detect this and the Cooking Zone will no longer heat. The display for that Cooking Zone will flash the last power level setting for the Cooking Zone.

The Cooking Zone will remember the power level setting for up to 90 seconds before the Cooking Zone will automatically shut off.

Manual background WARNING

Your cooktop has a residual heat indicator Manual background for each Cooking Zone. This indicator will warn that this area has been used and is still giving off enough heat to cause burns.

Avoid touching the burner when this indicator is shown. Although the cooktop is OFF, the Manual background will stay lit until the cooktop has cooled down.
