Configuration Options via GUI (Cont.)

(Continued from previous page)

2.Refer to the appropriate subsection below, depending on the output mode selected, to complete the output configuration fields.

RF Output Configuration

a)Select the RF Mode—64-QAM or 256-QAM (default)—by clicking the radio button at the left of the appropriate option.

b)In the Start RF Channel field, type the RF start channel number. The remaining three channels will be automatically assigned per EIA-542 STD CATV frequency allocation standards.

IP Output Configuration

a)For each IP channel stream, type the appropriate multicast IP address and port number in the IP Address and IP Port fields, respectively.

Note: If you would like the OAT100R to auto- increment IP channels from a base multicast IP address, you will need to complete output IP channel configuration from the command line interface. See “Configure the IP Output” on pages 56 to 59 for further information.

b)(Optional) In the TTL field, specify the number of hops allowed before the multicast data is dropped. If a router is being used on the system, the TTL value should be the number of router hops + 1. If a router is not being used, leave the TTL set to 1 (default).

Note: The option to set the TTL is available only with OAT100R version 2.0 or later software.

3.When you have completed the fields as required, click on the Set button below the Start RF Channel field or below the last IP Port field, as applicable.

If you successfully changed output configuration parameters,

the system will display at the bottom of the System Information display. The System Information display will also show the updated output configuration.
