FITNESS NETWORKING

The Life Fitness stairclimber 93S model may be connected via CSAFE protocol to a network, such as the FitLinxxTM interactive fitness network. This service provides workout monitoring and customization through a link to a remote database. The user logs into the network at the console, and the database then uploads the user’s personalized workout. When a workout is completed, the console uploads workout statistics to the database for progress tracking. See Section 4.2, titled Using the Workouts, for information on logging onto a network.

This service requires a special add-on kit to be installed with the stairclimber. In addition to providing the network connection, this kit enables the stairclimber to power third-party equipment for use with a service such as the Cardio Theater® entertainment system or the BroadcastVisionTM entertainment system. Contact Life Fitness Customer Support Services to purchase the kit. See Section 6.4, titled How to Obtain Product Service. The network ports that connect the stairclimber to this service are located on the back of the stairclimber console and are enclosed by a removable cover. Any use of these ports for other than their intended purpose could void the product warranty.
