Playing Your Music

The Linksys by Cisco Wireless Home Audio system provides you with an extensive assortment of source options for playing audio throughout your home.

iPod and iTunes

The optional Docking Station for iPod® (MCCI40) lets you connect your iPod to the Director or Conductor and play your iTunes music throughout your home. For details on connecting the Docking Station, please refer to the QIG that comes with it or the User Guide for your Director or Conductor.

1.Use the scroll or the left and right buttons on the touchscreen or 5-Way button to move through the menu items. Press Devices on the touchscreen to or use the center of the 5-Way button to select it.

2.A list of options will appear. You can now navigate through the music and audio on your iPod.

Audio is sorted by Playlist, Artist, Album, Genre, Track, Podcast, Composer, and AudioBook.

There are multiple options for navigating through the list:

•• Go through the list using the scroll and press the center of the 5-Way button to select an option.

•• Use the up and down buttons on the Scroll/5-Way button.

•• Select the option directly on the touchscreen.

USB Drive

When you connect a USB drive to the Director or Conductor, a USB drive icon will appear on the carousel.

Once you select this option, you will be able to sort through the songs on the drive by Artist, Album, or Genre. You can also Browse through the folders or Search by Artist, Album, or Song title.

Computer

Installing the Cisco Media Server software on your computer allows you to play music from your computer on your Director, Conductor, or Player. The Cisco Media Player software allows you to control playback of your Wireless Home Audio devices from your computer.

When the Cisco Media Server software is installed and running, you will see a music note icon indicating that a shared library is available for playback. Browsing the media is performed the same way as if you were browsing a USB drive connected to your Wireless Home Audio device.
