2.1 Camera Setup Tab
The “Camera Setup” tab provides all of the settings for configuring DVR-controlled cameras. The settings are
divided into two sections: general camera setup and a series of tabs controlling recording options.

2.1.1 Camera Settings and Setup
The camera setup settings allow configuration of the camera image, resolution, recording speed, buffering,
and recording codec. Network cameras are also enabled here.
Camera Setup
If you wish to apply the same settings to all cameras, click the “Apply to All” button at the
top of the window. Settings that will be applied to all cameras will be indicated by BOLD
headings. Only changes made after clicking “Apply to All” will be applied to every camera.
Camera Drop-
down This drop-down box lets you select which camera you wish to change the settings.
Allows you to change the name of currently selected camera. Camera names can be up to
12 characters in length.
Settings
Brightness Adjusts the brightness of the recorded image.
Contrast Adjusts the contrast of the recorded image.
Sharpness Adjusts image sharpening, to the right is increased sharpness.
Hue Adjusts the colour of the image.
Saturation U
and V
Adjusts the U and V colour difference signals used in YUV colour format. Note that not all
cameras use a YUV colour format, in which case, adjusting the Saturation U slider will
adjust the colour saturation while the Saturation V slider will have no effect.
