Sixteen channels are recorded to the laptop, and two mixdown channels are returned to the Onyx mixer for post-take monitoring through the Control Room speakers. The PHONES output provides a headphone for the recording engineer. The six AUX outputs are connected to a headphone distribution amp, providing six individual headphone monitor mixes for the musicians that can be adjusted quickly and easily by the engineer.
