INSPECCIÓN Y REABASTECIMIENTO DE ACEITE DE MOTOR

Haga lo siguiente con el motor frío.

Manteniendo el motor nivelado, saque la bayoneta de nivel de aceite y confirme que el nivel del aceite está entre las marcas de límite inferior y superior.

Cuando hay poco aceite, de modo que la bayoneta de nivel solamente toca el aceite con su punta, y especialmente cuando la bayoneta está insertada en el carter sin enroscar (Fig. 1), eche aceite por el orificio de reabastecimiento (Fig. 2).

Para su referencia, debe reabastecerse aceite cada 10 horas (10 veces ó 10 tanques de aceite de reabastecimiento).

Si ha cambiado el color del aceite o tiene impurezas, cámbielo. (Consulte la página 69 referente al intervalo y al método de reabastecimiento.)

Aceite recomendado : Aceite SAE 10W-30 de clasificación API, clase SF o superior (para motores de automóviles de 4 tiempos)

Volumen de aceite : 0.08 L aproximadamente.

Nota : Si el motor no es puesto derecho, el aceite puede entrar en todo el motor con reabastecimiento excesivo. Si el aceite esta reabastecido más del límite, el aceite puede ensuciarse o prender fuego con humo blanco.

Punto 1 de reabastecimiento de aceite: bayoneta de aceite

Elimine el polvo y la suciedad de los alrededores del orificio de reabastecimiento y saque la bayoneta de nivel de aceite.

No ensucie la bayoneta de nivel con arena o polvo. Si lo hace, la arena y el polvo que se han adherido a la bayoneta de nivel causarán una circulación irregular del aceite y se desgastarán las piezas del motor, lo que causará problemas de funcionamiento.

Una manera de conservar la bayoneta limpia es insertarla por su asa en la cubierta del motor (Fig. 3).

Eche aceite limpio si el nivel aceite sólo llega a la punta.
