Power outage

Make sure appliance is plugged in.

 

Circuit breaker has tripped

Verify that circuit breaker is not tripped.

Freezer not cooling

Fuse has blown

Replace fuse, but do not change fuse capacity.

Temperature control

Change control setting to 4 or above.

 

Poor gasket seal

Clean gasket as described in Hints and Care.

 

Failed gasket

Apply light coating of petroleum jelly to gasket.

 

Have gasket replaced

 

Food added recently

Wait 5 to 8 hours for temperature to stabilize after the

Freezer runs frequently

Normal

Needs to run to maintain an even temperature.

 

Door open

Close door.

 

Temperature set too cold

Adjust temperature control to maintain freezer

 

Poor gasket seal
