Setting the V-Chip

An age limitation can be set to forbid children to see and hear violent scenes or pictures for adults, etc. The unit corresponds to "TV RATING" and "MOVIE RATING". To use the V-Chip function, you must register a password.

TO REGISTER PASSWORD
1 Press TV MENU in the TV mode.
The TV menu screen will appear.
2 Press	or	to select		option,			CH	AB C
then press		or	to select
“PASSWORD”.
				/	/	/	/ MENU
3 Enter the password (4 digits)							CH	AB
using Direct Channel Selection									C
(0-9), then press ENTER.
If you put a wrong number, press
CANCEL.
				0-9/ENTER/CANCEL/MENU

" " appears instead of the number.

4 Enter the same password again	CH	AB C
for the safety, then press ENTER.
Now the password was registered	V-CHIP SET
and V-Chip setting menu will
	NEW
appear on the display.
	PASSWORD	:
	0-9/ENTER/CANCEL/MENU

NOTES:

•If you forget the password, you cannot set the V-chip.

•To avoid forgetting the password, write it down and keep in the safe place.
