VFLEX requires coils that a re accurate ly constru cted

and calibrated. Every ti me the dete ctor sta rts up,

the micro-cont rollers in the contro l box and the

coil establish communicati on through a digital

data link.

Information abo ut the coi l is sent t o the contr ol box,

so the detecto r ‘knows’ what type of coil i s attache d

and can set the correct operating parameter s.

This optimizes the perfo rmance, an d also make s

the detector ‘ future pro of’, in tha t it will be capabl e

of operating at diﬀerent frequencie s* depend ing

on the electro nic prope rties of the coil.
