Do not use rechargeable Lithium Ion
batteries as their volt age is too high.
Non rechargeable Lithi um batteries
may be used.
The display window may be prone to
scratching or damage if n ot treated with
care. A protective contro l box cover is
available. (Protective Accessories, pg. 68)
Old, flat or faulty ba tteries may cause
many detector problem s, through
electrolyte leak age. Take the batteries
out if the detector wi ll not be used for
long periods of time (e .g. more than 1
week). Ensure that only g ood quality
batteries are used and that they are
replaced when the low ba ttery signal
Previous Minelab coils wi ll not function
with the X-Terra detector.
Ensure the coil cable is in g ood
condition and not subjec t to undue
stress (particularl y where it is connec ted
to the coil).
Always remember to turn o ff the
detector before chan ging coils.
