Chapter 4Maintaining Your Printer
Accumulated dust and lint on the inside and outside of the printer
impairs printer performance and print quality. Clean the printer at
regula r int ervals.
NOTE
Before starting the cleaning procedure, be sure to turn
the power switch off and unplug the power cord.
Use only a soft cloth. Do not use abrasiv es and corrosi ve
detergent.
The fusing section has become quite hot during
operation. Do not touch the area as it may cause
a burn.
External Cleaning
Wipe off dirt and stains around
the printer with a soft cloth damp-
ened with a mild detergent.
