8.2 Replacing the imaging cartridge
Change the imaging cartridge when it is empty or when the printouts are
too light.
The imaging cartridge has a capacity of about 9000 Letter/A4 pages with
about 5% toner coverage. The starting imaging cartridge supplied with the
printer has a capacity of, on average, 5000 letter/A4 pages with about 5%
toner coverage.
CAUTION
The fusing unit can become very hot!
The fusing unit, which is located beneath the top cover, can become very
hot when the printer is in operation.
ÜTo prevent injuries, avoid contact with this area.
1Switch the printer OFF and unplug the power cable.
2Close the output tray.
3Press the top cover release button and open the cover.
