Please have a current configuration page available when calling for
technical assistance. Make a note of the Serial No. of your printer on
the configuration page, see page 1-7 (laser safety label).
Connecting the printer to a computer (parallel port)
1Switch off the printer and the
computer.
2Connect one end of the
interface cable to the parallel
port of your
computer.
3Connect the other end of the
interface cable to the parallel
port of the printer.
4Secure the connector by
means of the clips on the socket.

CAUTION
Using the wrong type of cable may result in damage to the
equipment!
Using the wrong type of cable may damage the socket on the printer.
ÜOnly use an IEEE 1284 type B shielded interface cable for connecting
the printer to your computer.
ÜMINOLTA-QMS does not warrant the use of any particul ar cable. The
user assumes all responsibility as to the quality and performance of
the cable.
