IMPO RTAN T
• Analog text-service opt ions display a large
black or gray box on the screen wh en no
signal is being broadcast .
• Thecontentofcaptionsisde terminedbythe
broadcaster. If captions show st range char-
acters, misspelling s, or odd grammar, it is not
a malfunction of the TV.
•
Closed-caption signa ls are not available through
HDMI or component jacks. See t he menus for
devices connected to thes e inputs for closed-
caption decoding.
