Prefer Digital

When a memorized channel number is available in both analog and digital formats, check the Prefer Digital box to display digital channels and hide analog channels when

using CH . Remove the check mark to show both analog and digital choices.

For digital channels, when the broadcaster has sent a virtual channel number, the virtual channel number is shown in the text box and the original digital channel is shown below on screen as a reference. One original channel number can be associated with several different virtual channels.

Memory

After the available channels have been memorized with Memorize Channels on the Setup menu, weaker chan- nels can be added or unwanted channels can be deleted.

Press CH on the remote control to see the chan-

nels in memory. Press ADJUST to select Added or Deleted for the channel shown in the Channel number box.

Name

Analog channels shown on ANT 1 can be named (up to four characters). After you enter a name, it will appear on the TV screen, next to the channel number.

1.Press ADJUST to select each letter.

2.Press ENTER to set the letter and move to the next letter position.

3.Press CANCEL to move back one position.

Digital channels are named automatically if the broad- caster sends the information.

Channel

You can select the channel number affected by this menu in any of three ways:

Press ADJUST to move through channel numbers one at a time, including all memorized and non-memorized channels. If you also wish to tune to the channel, highlight the channel number and press

ENTER.

Press CH to select from channels already in memory. If you also wish to tune to the channel, high- light the channel number and press ENTER.

Enter the number directly and press ENTER. Note that with this method, you must press ENTER for the screen to display settings for the selected channel.

Channel numbers can be one part, analog or digital (up to the number 16383), or two part for digital channels. For

atwo-part digital channel, press SUB/CANCEL on the remote to enter a separator after the first, second, or third number, depending on the broadcaster’s channel informa- tion.
