Editing a Text Message

Select Edit to edit the message before sending it.

NOTE: If a subject line is present (for messages received from an e-mail application), you cannot edit it.

Procedure:

1Por Q to Edit and press N to select.

2A blinking cursor appears beside the message. Use the keypad to edit your message.

Press P to move one space to the left.

Press Q or the # key to move one space to the right. Press the *DEL key to delete any unwanted characters.

3Press N once message is composed.

4Por Q to the required alias or ID and press N to select.

OR

Por Q to Manual Dial and press N to select. Key in the subscriber ID and press N.

5The display shows Text Message: <Subscriber/Group Alias or ID>, confirming your message is being sent.

6 If the message is sent, a tone sounds and the display shows

OR

If the message is not sent, a low tone sounds and the

 

 

 

 

 

display shows Message Send Failed.
